Story:

The Fifie was a very attractive and numerous fishing boat that was commonly seen in the waters off Scotland’s east coast from around 1850 and remained in service for about a hundred years.

These were very popular and effective vessels, true “workhorses” for Scottish fishing communities, especially in herring fishing. Unlike the Zulu (Vanguard Models kit #03), the Fifie had a more traditional layout, without a steep sternpost, and its silhouette was almost symmetrical, with a fairly broad beam for a relatively short vessel.
