Precision craft knife for detailed cutting
The knife enables precise cutting of a wide range of materials—from delicate films to small plastic components and soft wood. The metal blade mount and well-balanced fiberglass-reinforced composite handle allow for precise cutting with high force. The blade clamp (1), located in the sleeve (3), is divided into two parts. Between them is a U-shaped spring (2) that, when the sleeve (3) is unscrewed, causes the clamp (1) to open, allowing the worn blade to be removed and a new one inserted.
The shape of the handle prevents the knife from rolling off the work surface. A wide selection of blades in various shapes is available, significantly expanding the knife’s range of applications.
Currently, the AK-4 knife is offered as a set with 2 KB4-S blades + 1 KB4-R blade + 1 KB4-F blade.
For cutting, we recommend 2 mm thick backing mats from the CM series. In addition to comfortable, precise cutting, they protect the countertop from damage and prevent the blades from dulling quickly.
ATTENTION
OLFA blades are extremely sharp. Take extra care when cutting and replacing the blade. Used blades can also be dangerous—before disposing of them, secure them using, for example, the containers in which new blades are supplied, or use special OLFA DC-2 and DC-4 disposal cases.
