OLFA RM-IC-C-RC Mat

Cutting mat for rotary cutters 470×320 mm

RM-IC series mats, 1.6 mm thick and measuring 470 x 320 mm, are designed as a cutting mat for rotary knives. Cutting with these knives does not require much force, which is why the RM series mats are thinner than the other mats. The mats are double-sided — one side features a centimeter scale and the other an inch scale. RM-IC mats can also be used for light-duty cutting with 9mm snap-off blade knives and scalpel-type knives. They are a cost-effective solution for hobbyists and enthusiasts.

Due to EU restrictions on placing products containing phthalates on the market—used as plasticizers in polymer and rubber materials—OLFA has introduced certain technological changes in the production process of its cutting mats. The material used to manufacture OLFA cutting mats contains the phthalate DEHP listed in EU directives. Although its content in the mats produced is far below the levels permitted by the introduced standards, OLFA has decided to replace, in EU markets, mats made from the polymer with the previous chemical composition with mats made from a polymer plasticized with additives compliant with the REACH directive, without DEHP phthalate.
The EU regulations discussed above allow the sale of previously manufactured mats until stocks are exhausted, provided they entered the EU before the new regulations came into force / 7 July 2020/ . Accordingly, our current full range of underlay mats includes both mats with the existing chemical composition and replacement mats with a modified composition, additionally marked with the suffix – RC.

ATTENTION

The mats should be stored flat — they must not be bent or rolled.

Mats should be kept away from heat — do not iron on them

The mat should not be left in direct sunlight.

The mat must not be used for cutting with the MC-45 and MC-45/DX knives.
