Taurus – Mini Mamoli

Tugboats like the Taurus were a familiar sight in every American port and on navigable tidal shallows at the turn of the century. During their service, they easily towed large liners and pushed heavy barges. In the 1930s, steam engines began to give way to diesel propulsion, and by the 1960s, steam-powered vessels had almost completely disappeared. A few steam tugs have survived to this day as museum exhibits.
